Gai Tendo vs. Jaguar

Jaguar grinned as Gai went down fast and hard, that has certainly knocked that stupid look off his face. Jaguar gritted his teeth and pushed up to his feet, eager to try to take advantage of this early lead and widen the gap. It was a bit premature to expect Gai to stay down long enough for him to climb the ropes, so he settled on wearing the redhead down the old-fashioned way first.

Like a predator stalking its prey Jagaur closed the distance on Gai with calculated precision. At the last few moments he darted forward with speed and jumped into the air, managing to get himself entirely horizontal in an impressive display of athleticism. Gravity did the rest of the hard work, sending Jagaur's primed and extended elbow down towards Gai's sternum. This ought to knock the wind right outta him, and give Jaguar some time to set up something even nastier.

"Agh! Fuck!"

Gai yelled, his body jerking in response as Jaguars arm landed down hard on his chest, kicking his legs against the mat as he cursed out the masked fighter, before rolling, trying to roll under the ropes to the ring apron to get away from his opponent, buy himself some space and time to get his air back.

Jaguar quite enjoyed the way he made Gai flop around and curse after his strike, it was a nice prelude to truly making him eat his words. And to top things off, Gai chose to run rather than stand and fight by escaping into the ringside. One of the worst things you could do when faced by a large feline was to run away, they'd almost certainly run you down before you got very far. It was almost like a challenge to them, and Jaguar was no exception.

Jaguar huffed as he popped to his feet, more adrenaline coursing through his system in anticipation of the chase. The luchador climbed a turnbuckle and crouched, lining up the leap in his head just right. The crowd cheered as he jumped off, spreading out his arms and legs as he attempted to body-splash Gai down into the unforgiving floor.

Gai had been leaning against the ring apron, getting his bearings back, when he heard the crowd cheer in excitement, a surefire sign something was about to happen.

Turning around just in time, Gai witnessed Jaguar just as he leaped off the turnbuckle, intending to splash down upon him. Quickly though, Gai dropped and rolled under the ring itself, leaving an empty floor for Jaguar to land on!

Jaguars eyes widened as he saw Gai suddenly dropped outta view, leaving a vast and unforgiving sea of concrete to catch him now. He tried to retract his limbs to catch himself but there simply wasn't enough time to land properly, thus the luchador would come crashing down hard on his knees and elbows.

Jaguar cried out in pain and released a string of expletives in Spanish as he rocked back and forth, seething in pain. The jarring impact had not only hit like a dump truck on his joints, but sent that terrible fuzzy numbness normally reserved for hitting your elbow just right, or wrong, as it were.

Having successfully dodged a big blow there, Gai wore a cocky smirk on his face as he rolled out from under the ring, standing above the masked fighter.

"Whats wrong kitty? Didn't land on your damn feet!?"

He yelled, starting to stomp and kick at Jaguar's prone body.

Upon hearing Gai's taunting, Jaguar scrambled to fight through the pain and get up. He was in a bad spot if he was just gonna lie there. However Gai wasnt about to just sit around and wait either, Jaguar only crawled a few paces before the first stomp blasted into his back and planted him on the ground again.

With each additional kick and stomp Jaguar grunted in pain, trying to curl himself up defensively on his side. There wasn't a whole lot he could do with Gai's constant assault and from laying on his side. Instead he waited till there was a pause in Gai's attack to try tolling out of reach.

Eventually, Jaguar was able to avoid one of his stomps and roll away. Still, the damage had been done, and Gai was alerted to the sound of the referee doing the ring out count, having already reached "THREE!"

Grinning, Gai moved, rolling back into the ring, getting back to his feet and waiting to see if Jaguar could beat the ring out count!

Having now been on the receiving end of Gai's punches and kicks, Jaguar felt that perhaps his boasts about being some Buriki champion were not exaggerations. He was glad that Gai had abandoned the chase when he tried to escape, the breathing room and time to recuperate was much needed if he was gonna get back in the match.

Jaguar shakily rose to his feet as the count hit "SIX", and he turned to walk slowly but purposefully towards the ring. It was at times like these he really loved having dark skin, you couldn't see very well the bruises that we're going to form and so it looked like he had taken minimal damage. At "EIGHT" Jaguar grabbed the bottom ropes and pulled himself up weakly, taking extra time not only to slow his breathing and stall restarting the match, but to lull Gai into a false sense of his condition.

By the time the referee hit "TEN" Jaguar was rolling under the ropes and onto his knees, craning his neck up to look for Gai. Judging from the way he ambushed Jaguar before the match technically started, he figured he would likewise try something as soon as Jaguar was within bounds again.

The key difference here was that Jaguar was prepared as he got to his feet. Rather than wait for Gai, he suddenly shot forward with more speed than would be expected. He leaped into the air in front of Gai, jutting his knee out hard to try to strike the man's chin. Should he dodge, Jaguar would land cleanly into a crouch and attempt a sweep kick as a follow up!

Oh this was great. He had done a better job beating Jaguar down than he had expected, the poor kitty cat couldn't even get in the ring!

Once Jaguar crawled under the ropes, Gai moved in to strike, only for Jaguar to suddenly hop up to his feet and leap upward, smashing his knee into Gai's chin, knocking the redhead flat onto his back, staring glassy eyed at the ceiling!
