Gai Tendo vs. Jaguar

The crowds energy turned from excitement to horror to excitement as they realized that Gai had shuffled over the barrier and that Jaguar was now swiftly heading for the ground. Normally Jaguar would try to tuck and roll if an opponent dodged out of the way, but that was not an option with the guard rail so close.

Jaguar let out a pained yelp when his knees crashed into the unforgiving divider, making a horrible screeching sound as it slid across the ground. Jaguar crumpled down onto his back, rocking back and forth as he cradled his kneecap like it had been shattered. The impact stung like he had struck his funny bone, only in his leg, sending painful tinglings up and down that were gonna prevent him from walking anytime soon.

"Coward bastard!" Jaguar shouted in pain after Gai, unable to see where he had gone but needing someone to shove his frustrations onto.

"Oh sure, because its cowardly to DODGE!"

Gai yelled back, the divider knocked down from the force of Jaguar's landing, nearly crushing the same fans Gai had already knocked over, sending several AFW employees backstage scrambling to get together free tickets and merchandise to smooth over any bad feelings and avoid any lawsuits.

Throwing a couple fallen fans off of him, Gai limped back to the fallen kitty, pulling him up to his feet and, with a hard pull, sent him towards the nearby steel steps with a hard Irish Whip, hoping to send the lucha star into them knee first to fuck up his already hurt legs!

"You're a coward for running!"

Jaguar was still howling and hissing in pain when Gai grabbed him by the back of his mask and pants and hauled him up to his feet. He wasn't allowed to keep his balance for very long, Gai whipped him around in a circle and flung him right for those pointy metal stairs at the corner of the ring. As he had planned, Jaguar's right knee was the first to impact, slamming into it with a loud metallic twang.

"Gahhhhh!" Jaguar yelled in pain as he hunched over the stairs, rolling and bumping his way back down to the ground. He was soon cradling his joint, and fuck did it hurt! The two impacts together and Jaguar's reaction nearly assured fans he'd be limping during the remainder of the match.

"Pff...whatever you Baka...only a fool would willingly take a blow he can avoid."

Gai replied, before tossing Jaguar into the steps, enjoying the crowds reaction to the masked fighters intense pain, as the referee continued the ring out count, now at "FOUR!"

With the steps still intact, and Jaguar's right knee clearly at least somewhat fucked up, Gai went to capitalize on it, running forward and leaping to the top of the steel steps, before jumping off, bending his knee to land an elevated knee drop onto the side of Jaguar's right knee, aiming to cripple the already hurt fighter.

Jaguar rolled onto his back as he cradled his injured knee, face contorted in pain clearly, even beneath the mask. It hampered his ability to roll away, and soon enough Gai was blocking out his metaphorical sun in the split-second he floated above him. Gai's bony knee drop smashed into the side of Jaguar's targeted knee and tore another pained cry from his throat. Though it would hurt, he straightened his leg out so that he could properly roll himself several times over and away.

At this point, the referee was at the 7 count, and Jaguar was laying at the foot of the apron. With a good degree of effort, he dragged himself up onto his good knee and reached for the bottom rope so he could hobble back onto the lip of the ring. From there he could slide himself safely back into the ring, ending up on his back as he squinted up into the shiny ceiling lights.

Gai smirked, taking a bow meant to piss off the crowd as Jaguar roared in pain on the floor, before getting back in the ring.

He watched, eagerly, as the ref kept counting, wondering if he damaged Jaguar enough that he'd get counted out, but the damn kitty ruined that by managing to get back in the ring. Not getting discouraged, Gai dropped on top of him and hooked his injured leg with a quick cover, hoping to get a quick pin on the injured luchador!

Jaguar squawked when Gai dropped down onto his back, halting his brief brief reprieve from the action. He was slipped onto his back and the red-headed fighter spread out over his chest as he hooked the injured leg for a quick pin. Jaguar howled as fresh lightning jolts of pain flashed through his leg as it was forced into a flexed position.

"Two!

What? What had happened to the first count? Somehow the pain had drowned his senses out, and he was in immediate danger of losing the match. Jaguar channeled his pain into rage and stabbed his bony elbow into Gai's left shoulder blade as he kicked up with his good leg, breaking his back's contact with the mat soon enough to save him.

In a rush he threw his chest up to try to sit, and get his hands underneath Gai's chin. As gravity returned his back to the mat, he'd yank on Gai's head in order to get back at him. It wasn't pretty, and it wasn't particularly effective, but it was some sort of counter-attack, right?

Gai wasn't entirely sure what happened. One second he was pinning Jaguar down, and before he could process it, the pin was broken, and he was rolling off of Jaguar's body, groaning and rubbing at a stinging pain in his neck!

"Owww...what the FUCK was that!?"

He cursed, kicking his wrapped feet onto the mat before rolling to the ropes, using them to start pulling himself up to his feet, the pain in his neck not going away any time soon, and the pain in his ass named Jaguar apparently intending to not go away yet either.

That was close, far too close to start considering himself lucky. Jaguar was on his last leg here (pun intended) as he rolled away and slowly worked his way to his feet. Hands braced against his knees, he was hunched over and breathing quickly. Battered and bruised, Gai still hadn't been able to knock that look of fierce determination from the luchador's face.

"It was karma, kicking your ass" Jaguar called out across the ring. His voice sounded tired, the fatigue of the match was beginning to outstrip the benefits of adrenaline. He felt like he'd gotten his fair share of shots in on his opponent as well, what he needed was a solid hit from a finisher and the deal would be sealed. Probably.

Ignoring the pain as best he could, the masked luchador took a few running steps to throw him into the ropes and then launched himself speedily across the ring towards Gai. When he was close enough, Jaguar hissed as he jumped from his injured leg and threw a spinning roundhouse kick for the side of Gai's head with his good one. Time for some pain, asshole!

Gai was sent on a long trip to the ropes, on the side of the ring facing the giant Tension-Tron, the large screen giving him a brief glimpse of Jaguar running after him.

Getting an idea that the masked fighter was going to follow up on him, Gai grabbed the ropes as he rebounded, stopping his momentum, before taking a wild guess and dropping to his back, Jaguar's kick flying above his head!

Grabbing the ropes to pull himself back up, Gai took advantage of Jaguar being off balance after his missed kick, throwing a high kick of his own to the back of Jaguar's masked head!
