Gai Tendo vs. Jaguar

Jaguar's spinkick hit nothing but air as Gai dodged in the nick of time, dropping to his back. Jaguar's momentum carried through and he landed on bent knees, hissing slightly as his injured leg flared up. This delayed his reaction time and the regaining of his balance, enough for Gai to get into the perfect position behind him.

Gai's fighting experience made his kick to the back of Jaguar's head particularly effective, a sickening crack of bone on bone as the hit landed solidly. Jaguar's vision goes black for a second, and the next thing he knows, he's groggily draped over the top ropes hanging over the apron, barely holding himself up.

Gai collapsed onto the mat right after landing his kick, holding his throbbing foot in his hands. Jaguar had a thick skull under that mask, and while his foot seemed to have knocked the bastard out, his foot was paying the price.

Grabbing the ropes, Gai pulled himself up and limped over to the masked Jaguar, who was looking out and done for on the ropes, grabbing the masked warrior around his waist and holding onto one of his wrists as he pulled him towards the middle of the ring.

"Time to finish you off kitty cat!"

Gai yelled, before shoving Jaguar forward, using his grip on the luchadors wrist to twist him around to face Gai, at arms length, and pulled him in to close the distance, while swinging his free arm out to smash into Jaguar's chest with a painful Rainmaker Lariat!

Though hard to view beneath the mask, Jaguar's pupils were dilated and his vision was going from blurred to black and back again. His feet stumbled as Gai dragged him towards the center of the ring to set up for his big move. And when Gai thrust him away he nearly ragdolled as his knees refused to lock properly. He had brought up his arms about halfway to block, riding on stubborn instinct, but his current state wasn't much a match for Gai's forearm.

Jaguar's body flipped a full 360 degrees in the air as the lariat bulldozed into his chest unopposed. Jaguar landed face first into the mat and the impact bounced him slightly. The luchador's arms shifted ever so slightly like he was going to rouse and get up, but he slumped back down onto the mat amidst the rampant cheers of the adoring crowd.

Despite Gai's smug and cocky attitude, he was, quite simply, exhausted. Jaguar was a very tough opponent, who had done some serious damage. When he pulled Jaguar in for the Lariat, he muttered a silent prayer that it would work.

Luckily for him, the wrestling gods, at least on this night, hated good people and loved bad people, and with their holy powers, they saw his lariat through, smashing into Jaguar's chest and flipping him head over heels onto the mat, Gai collapsing onto the mat right after as his legs gave out from under him.

Panting heavily, body covered in sweat, the former Buriki-One fighter laid on the mat for a couple minutes, feeling his entire body ache as he slowly pushed himself up and crawled over to Jaguar, rolling the masked fighter to his back and draping an arm across his chest for a pin attempt!

"ONE!"

The ref girl yelled, slapping the mat and raising her arm up high.

Jaguar's arms splayed out on reflex as his opponent nudged and rolled him onto his back for the pin attempt. His eyes were glassy and unfocused beneath the mask, and all around him the sights and sounds seemed muddled and deafened like he was listening from underwater. Looking back on this moment in the future, he'd probably ignore his own obvious state of disarray and be insulted that Gai merely draped an arm for the pin attempt. But how could you really expect respect from an arrogant prick like this?

"TWO!" the ref girl shrieks as fans and detractors alike hung on the edge of their seats.

Jaguar groaned deeply and his lolled side to side, coupled with him trying to pull a knee up. Though successful, it really didn't put him in much of a position to kick out as his half-conscious attempt just made it look more like he twitched. That was it...his body was just done, and it was over......he had lost to the cocky SOB (and likely sore winner). The dread already began to creep in before the final count was made.

"THREE!"

The ref counted, slapping the mat for the last time and signaling for the bell to ring, Gai's music being played as he was announced as the winner.

The Buriki-One fighter rolled off his equally exhausted opponent, laying flat on his back and weakly raising his fist in the air, the crowd letting out a round of boos for the dishonorable and disrespectful fighters victory over the more popular Jaguar.

After a few moments, he got to his feet, the referee raising his arm in victory, while he looked down at Jaguar.

"...hey kitty...Fuck you..."

He growled, before heading out of the ring and limping his way backstage, victorious.
