"Mousey" Minerva Vs. Alena Saint

Minerva stepped out from backstage once her name was called. The poppy music filled the air and she timidly stood at the entrance of the ramp. The sea of people made her eyes widened but for a moment she stopped. Did they just say Mousey... She thought. She wondered how they could even know to call her that. "B-but..." She held a hand out to no one. As the people continued to stare at her, wondering what she was doing just standing she gulped hard. It was no time to wonder about the name. She then closed her eyes and ran down the ramp as fast as she could. Her arms lifted out to her sides like little pathetic wings. It was done on accident but it seemed to illicit some "awwws" and cat calls from fans.

Not knowing how far she was to the ring she felt herself slam into the edge. "Nyaaa!" She said as she winced. She held her stomach with one hand and used the other to crawl into the ring. As she entered the ring she heard shouts from the crowd. Some thought her 'act' was too cute and others wondered if someone that dense could really be a wrestler. Her face fell and she flushed a deep crimson as she shrank into a corner and awaited her opponent.

Compared to the nervous entrance Minerva just gave, the crowd was in for a change of pace as AFW newest wrestler, Alena Saint, jumped out from the entrance. "Hey everybody!" she shouted gleefully, to which the crowd responded with a chorus of cheers.

I can't believe I'm here, Alena thought to herself, a huge smile on her face. She was living her dream. After years of watching it on TV, she was finally walking down the ramp to the ring herself. It took a lot of convincing to her mom to let her join the AFW, and to her surprise, she had agreed. Now she was here, ready to show these people what she was made of!

She climbed inside the ring and went to the center. Most wrestlers would hae gone to their own corner, but not Alena. She wanted to greet her opponant. "Hi there!" she said to the small girl in front of her. "My name's Alena! What's your name?"

Minerva watched as Alena came down the ramp. She seemed very excited. She stayed glued into the corner even when Alena entered the ring. Se was surveying her opponent. She didn't look as scary as some of the other wrestlers she saw in the back. And when Alena stepped forward and cheerfully stepped forward Minerva gave her a small smile. She relaxed a bit and stepped forward. "I'm-Minerva.." She instantly widened her eyes. "No!" She said covering her mouth as though the words escaped her mouth without her consent. "I-I mean... Mine-chan." She said finally.


"It's nice to meet you." She said with a sigh. She then noticed that the bell had rung right after she spoke. Her eyes widened once more and she just stared at Alena wondering what was going to happen next.

Alena gave a friendly smile to the girl. "Nice to meet you too, Mine-chan," she said sincerly. The small girl was so nervous. Not much suited for the wrestling ring. Well, it wasn't like Alena was one to talk.

"This is my first match, so I won't go easy on you!" Alena announced. As soon as the bell rang, Alena would go in for a quick and simple headlock.

Minerva was about to say that it was also her first match but that she would not be too tough when she found herself in a headlock. She struggled as much as she could but the grip on her head seemed too tight for her to try and escape. In her attempts to escape the hold she pulled her arm back and launched an inadvertant fist towards Alena's stomach.

"Ooff!" Alena grunted as Minerva's fist buried itself into her stomach. Still, she managed to keep the headlock. "Not....good enough!" she giggled. Maybe it was because her opponant was so small and timid, or just the juvenile side of her, but Alena would give Minerva a noogie.

When she heard the oof come from Alena Minerva's eyes widened and she let out a muffled "sorry!" from the head lock. She then realized that maybe that had been a good thing when she found herself still stuck. When she felt Alena grind her knuckle into her head she began to flail. "Nyaaa!" She yelled and tried to pull away.

Once more she attempted to free herself. This time she lifted up her foot and thrust it at Alena's stomach to try shove Alena away from her.

Alena let out another "ooff" as Minerva thrust her foot in her gut. This time she did release the headlock and leapt away before Minerva could follow up.

"Don't worry about it," Alena assured, dusting herself off. "I'm a lot tougher than that." She smiled and gestured Minerva on. "Bring it on!"

Minerva stumbled backwards and rubbed her neck, tears threatened at the edges of her eyes. "That hurt..." She whimpered. She looked up at Alena when the other girl gave her a reassuring smile. Minerva then balled her fists.
It's still a wrestling match right? Minerva thought. So I should do whatever I can to make Lethe-chan proud right? Minerva then shut her eyes and ran at Alena and swung her arms out in a windmill fashion. "Waaaaa!" She meekly whimpered out her battle cry.

Alena giggled at Minerva's cute and clumsy charge. Briefly she wondered just how a girl like her had gotten into the AFW. She would be an interesting match.

She would easily side-step the spinning arms and put her foot out so Minerva might trip.
