Rena's Sparring Session # 003: (for Kenichi) (complete)

Rena smiled back. A bit tightly; she found Kenichi's gaze surprisingly penetrating. He was all right, she guessed. But it never hurt to be sure.

"Do you feel dizzy or light-headed?" she pressed. Just a formality.

Kenichi will close his eyes for a spell, then open them once more, giving himself a mental checkover.

"No. My cheek stings a little bit, and my back is sore from when you tossed me, but I'm neither dizzy nor light-headed."

"Yokatta." Rena sighed with relief. "I'm glad you're all right. I was worried for you," she admitted. "I hadn't hit anyone as hard as I had hit you..."

She smiled. "I guess you're really very strong..."

Kenichi will rub the back of his head an laugh a little, "Nah, just thick-skulled. You sure have a great right hook though. Almost knocked me right out."

Kenichi will stand up and dust himself off, "Well, now, if you're still up for it, I believe we still have a match to finish." He will offer her a hand up.

Rena giggled. "I didn't punch you. I slapped you. There's a difference. But I accept the compliment," she allowed with a smile.

She took his hand and pulled herself up onto her feet. "Arigatou," she thanked him. "You're a gentleman, Kenichi-kun."

She then took several steps back to open up space, and brought her hands up. "Okay, let's continue..."

"Yeah, but what a slap that was," Kenichi will grin at her, Wow, I'm usually really shy around girls, even Miu-san.

Kenichi will come out of his musings as he sees her drop into a ready stance, Whoa boy, can't daydream now, she's a lot stronger than she looks and I can't let her get another hit like that last one in.

Keinchi Will drop into his own stance, and make a grab towards her arm. The grab is a feint however as he will then drop and send a sweep kick aimed at her ankles, hoping to knock her feet out from under her.

Rena found herself grinning as well. Somehow she felt that Kenichi was enjoying their encounter. Not in a perverted way, which would have earned him another mother of a slap had it been so. More like... a friendly one?

Okay, now I'm psychic? Hahaha...

Kenichi's grab struck her, a self-fancied veteran of grappling, as fake. He's going to do something else... And when her gut instinct proved right as his leg swept for her ankles, Rena was ready to jump up- and to drop kick Kenichi in the chest.

Kenichi will roll out to the right, hoping to avoid the drop kick, if he can he will rise with a smile on his face, 'This is starting to get fun...I like sparring with her, maybe this Sex Wars thing won't be so bad after all...'

He will then rush forward, hoping to catch hold of Rena's wrist so he can throw her into the ropes...

Rena's drop kick missed, but she didn't mind. The important thing was dodging Kenichi's sweep.

Still, she fell to the mat, down even after having dodged the sweep, though unhurt. She took a moment to get up, paid for her slowness by being caught in Kenichi's Irish whip toss.

Rena skillfully turned the move to her advantage by rebounding off the ropes into a quick spear at Kenichi's abdomen. Their match was picking up the pace!

Kenichi was caught by Rena's spear, unable to dodge it in time, but he was able to tense his abdominals enough that her blow didn't force the wind from his lungs, but it still hurt enough for him to exhale explosively in a "Guh!"

He'll fall backwards, as the blow had enough force behind it to knock him off his feet, but he'll try to encircle his arms around her head to drive her face first into the mat in an ad hoc DDT.

Whether or not the move succeeds he'll be on his back on the mat for a second or two to regain his bearings...
