She assumed that the hunger was surely making her act differently, and opening up memories, abilities, and thoughts that she had closed off to herself.

She had brutalized both girls, but beforehand, she had also faced two matches that managed to pull out some harsh emotions out of her that she didn't truly understand. Specifically, she confronts her feelings over her match against the Hyuga Sisters and Taraab. She had been defeated by Taraab, which caused her to want a rematch. The search for her led her to stumble upon the two sisters she challenged in this very match. She wants to know more about the girl who defeated her, but she'd be forced to fight her way to that information beforehand. It worked perfectly, as she was still thinking about her match against the sisters. In that match, she had won, but she was undeniably upset at their sisterly bond. She's now suddenly forced to face her sisterly love for a sibling who turned his back on her. However, she ultimately comes out of the match as the loser, realizing that family is still important as well. It's the first step towards her reconciling with her brother.

Phoebe Vermilion is the youngest child of a wealthy family; one she's disowned from. Her entire life, she had everything handed to her on a silver platter, so one day, she decided to run away and find her own independence; it's how she ended up in AFW. Though she grew up watching wrestling, she didn't exactly want to be one. She was more sexually attracted to the idea of dating a wrestler, but the entire reason Phoebe had run away from her cozy lifestyle was because she wanted to pay for her college on her own.
However, she wouldn't be able to do that without a job, and wrestling seemed to be the only thing she had to work with. She plays with the gimmick that she's some nobody underdog, so that she can gain more attention, and have people feel sympathy for her, allowing her to boost her popularity. It seems to be working, but if her roots as a spoiled rich girl were to come out, she'd have to deal with some foul controversy.
Another important facet of her character is that she's madly in love with Yona Giovanni. Not obsessively, but to Yona, she's the most normal, kind, and gentle person in her life, and many of her peers feel the same; she's truly a nice person, but she doesn't have a bone in her body that will go too far in a match. She sometimes borders on jobber territory, since she tends to get offered matches from wrestlers that want to pick on her, or break her. She doesn't have many enemies, but she has many people, including the audience, that are curious about what makes her tick.

In her younger years, Mio Suzuya cultivated a belief in herself that she was the best, and was basically, a heroine of sorts. Being bullied most of her life had only solidified that she was meant for more, and that she'd eventually show them. To an extent, it's why she kept her worst bully, Iris as a friend. Of course, they worked together for a short time as sex workers, but their friendship truly formed from their shared childhood together. It was clear that Yona took the more brutal beatings and actual humiliating attacks, while Hazel tended to be primarily teased and made fun of. However, after graduation, she was hit with the reality that she had to actually make something of herself. Fate didn't do much to help her outside of working in a dead-end job, but it did reconnect her with Yona. She saw her former classmate fighting on television and ran with the idea of working with Yona, and her, at the time, co-worker and former classmate of both girls, Iris. She didn't want to go in alone, so with nothing to lose, Iris accompanied her. After all, the pay was pretty good in of itself. To the surprise of Mio, she wouldn't find much luck fighting in the ring. She was strong, but despite that, her first few matches on her own were complete losses. Even when she fought with Hade's Plague, she'd be easily defeated by anyone she faced. It humbled her a bit, as she became silent for a while, simply acting as Yona's bodyguard. She obsessed over the brunette, wanting to be just like her. She's a bit jealous that Phoebe and her got so close, and that her blonde friend had gained some success, but in the end, she couldn't go back to her old life. At least she had a little bit of fame, working side by side with the great heel, Yona Giovanni. Though, she does hope to carve her own legacy, and eventually prove to both Yona and Phoebe that she can surpass them both.
